About Us

If you enjoy helping others, and like swimming this fundraiser is for you.
Swim4Causes was started by one who wanted to give back to her community and who noticed the need for an exercise fundraiser that didn't involve walking or running.
Swim4Causes has three goals:
1) Raise funds for 11 local Willamette Valley charities
2) Encourage exercise through swimming
3) Have fun!
This event is designed to help you support one or more of 11 local charities while you have fun swimming. You may swim as few or as many lengths as you like.

1) Invite family and friends to sponsor you and then swim
2) Donate to one or more of the charities without swimming
3) Volunteer to help at the event

The Event

All levels of swimmers can participate

What: Swimming lengths/laps for funds
Where: Osborn Aquatic Center
1940 NW Highland Drive
Corvallis, Oregon
When: Saturday October 22nd, from 4:30 pm - 6pm
• Swim as few or as many lengths as you choose
• The pool is 50 meters, with a bulkhead divider in center; stronger swimmers may swim in the deep end more novice swimmers may swim the width of the pool in the shallow end
• No additional pool admission
• Recommended admission fee of one or more canned food items or one or more personal hygiene items
• Day of the event registration option is available beginning @ 4:15pm
• Volunteers from some of the charities will have tables set up with information about their charity
Fundraising

The choice is yours
Thank you for raising funds for your charity or charities of choice.
When raising funds, we recommend suggesting to donors a flat amount of money as opposed to an amount per length/lap, since funds will be raised prior to the swim. If donors want a receipt, their donation should be in the form of a check. Checks should be made out to the charity or charities of choice (a check for each charity); this ensures a receipt from the charity.
Please bring all donations: money, canned goods and/or personal hygiene items to the swim event.
